Give Your Child the Gift of Music for Life

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Suzuki Violin Program at The New Old School of Music, beginning this fall! Rooted in the philosophy of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, this program nurtures musical ability in young children by mirroring the natural process of language acquisition, with love, repetition, and involvement from caring adults.

What Makes the Suzuki Method Unique?

Unlike traditional music instruction, the Suzuki Method is built on the idea that every child can learn with the right environment and support. Music becomes a shared journey between child, teacher, and parent. This "Suzuki Triangle" forms the foundation of a program designed not just to teach music, but to cultivate confidence, discipline, and connection.

 Program Features

Weekly 30-Minute Private Lesson

  • Personalized instruction focused on tone, technique, and foundational repertoire

  • Parent attends and actively participates in the lesson

  • The teacher ensures parents feel confident in guiding home practice

Weekly 45-Minute Group Class (required)

  • Reinforces concepts from private lessons through fun, peer-based learning

  • Builds friendships, confidence, and a sense of musical community

  • Offers inspiration by learning from and with others

  • A place for parents to connect, share, and grow together

Parent Involvement: A Key Ingredient

In Suzuki learning, parents are not just spectators—they’re collaborators. Whether you’ve never played an instrument or you’ve studied music yourself, your presence in your child’s musical development is essential and incredibly rewarding. Many families discover a deepened bond as they learn and grow together week by week.

 Why Choose Suzuki?

  • Early and joyful exposure to music

  • Emphasis on listening and repetition

  • Encouragement of group learning and peer modeling

  • Development of the whole child, not just musical skill

  • A warm, supportive community for both students and families

Program Begins: September 25, 2025

Enrollment Includes:
✔ Weekly 30-minute individual lesson
✔ Weekly 45-minute group class
